Quick question: Can anyone tell me why Shao Kahn moves from realm to realm with his army of sorcerers and demon warrior monsters? Yeah, he's a conqueror, but what's the friggin' point? Once he gains a new realm he tends to let it just sit and rot, moving onto the next without hesitation. He's the stereotypical bad guy, with no real history other than "he's a badass, watch out!" and no real reason for being bad other than "he's a badass, watch out!" Other notables on this list would include Frieza, Mumm-Ra, Cobra Commander, and your high school gym teacher.

Can I also just point out that I find it hilarious that Shao Kahn is often referred to as Emperor of Outworld, making his name roughly translate (if we're using Earthrealm etymology) to "Ruler Young Ruler." It may not be funny to you yet, but just keep repeating it to yourself. Shao Kahn, this guy, is Ruler Young Ruler. You'll laugh.
