You think fantasy is big business? Ever heard of Star Trek, Iron Man, Transformers, District 9 and ... what's that other movie called? Is it Avatar? Yeah, we've heard that movie did fairly well at the box office and it's a perfect example of why a film version of Masters of the Universe could work. Mixing fantastic story elements and beautiful scenery with flying death machines and suits of armor equaled big bucks for James Cameron this year. The beauty of Masters of the Universe is that it isn't all magic swords, potions and spells; there are also laser guns, robots and spaceships. Hell, there's even tanks that look like dragons, jets that look like eagles and giant robot spiders. They've got something for both kinds of geek: sci-fi and fantasy.
