In 2009 kwam de erg coole science fiction film District 9 uit, die het verhaal vertelde over hoe aliens gestrand waren op onze planeet en daar nu leefde in een speciaal vluchtelingen kamp in Zuid-Africa. De film is sinds pas ook verkrijgbaar als Special Limited Tin Edition op Blu-Ray, en is nog steeds zeer geliefd bij ons geeks.In de onderstaande video zien we hoe fans de bekende Arc Generator uit de film na maken. Knap staaltje werk en leerzaam als je zelf replica's wilt gaan bouwen. Hoewel dit in bananen democratuur NeDDRland vast en zeker onder de wapenwet valt, maar dat terzijde.
