Het is weer de tijd van het jaar dat developers en uitgevers gaan strooien met hun kwartaal cijfertjes. Activison kickt dit seizoen af, en daarbij werd bekend dat er al gewerkt wordt aan een Destiny 2. Wat opvallen is omdat Bungie er plat op ging dat deze game TIEN!! jaar lang ondersteuning zou krijgen. Maar goed, de tijd zal het leren.

In addition to this, the company also announced that Destiny has 9.5 million registered users, and that active players play an average of three hours a day.

During the following earnings call for analysts and investors it was also mentioned by Activision Publishing head honcho Eric Hirshberg that Destiny's "next full game release" (IE: the second title of the franchise) is already in the works alongside "future expansion packs" for the first game. Hirshberg also mentioned that the 9.5 million figure isn't exactly the same as sell-through numbers, as some users have more than one registered profile.
