Enkele dagen geleden kon je hier op Eigenwereld.nl al lezen dat Electronic Arts vandaag een nieuwe Battlefield titel zou gaan aankondigen. Dit is Battlefield Play4Free voor de PC geworden, en deze is niet helemaal nieuw. Want dit is eigenlijk gewoon een Battlefield 2 met opgepoetste graphics en aangepaste maps, wat uiteraard niet slecht is omdat BF2 nog altijd een hele brute titel is. Battlefield Play4Free word geheel GRATIS!! maar het zal mogelijk zijn om ingame pakjes en andere cosmetische dingen te kopen. Dit zal overigens geen invloed hebben op de gameplay. De game zal vanaf de lente 2011 te downloaden zijn, en als je niet kan wachten is het mogelijk om je nu hier in te schrijven voor een beta test die aan het einde van deze maand van start gaat.

Combining the most popular maps from Battlefield 2 with the familiar classes and powerful weapons of Battlefield: Bad CompanyTM 2, players have access to 16 vehicles including the Mil Mi-28 attack helicopter, its nemesis the F35 VTOL jet fighter, the massive Russian T-90 main battle tank, and the hard to catch LSV light strike vehicle. Players progress through the game to learn new combat skills, and earn in-game currency to spend on a massive array of devastating weapons and equipment.
