De website Mania.com heeft een top tien gemaakt van film en serie franchise reboots die gewoon nodig was. Zo was er Battlestar Galactica die toch behoorlijk vaag was en tegen viel als je fan van de originele serie bent. Ook Dr. Who kreeg een reboot en maakte de serie populairder dan ooit. Maar onze favoriet is:

1. Batman Begins

The Batman franchise was in serious need of rehabilitation when Christopher Nolan took over the reigns. Nolan cut away the fairy-tale design of the Burton films and the big-name celebrity cameo excess of the Schumacher era. He cast top name actors but didn't let them get away with just showing up to collect their check. Not only was this reboot successful, but this series also fits into that rare category of films where the sequel was just as good, if not better than the original.
