Waar Joy Ride begon als tegenhanger van ModNation Racers op de PlayStation, zo eindigde het met de titel Kinect Joy Ride om daarmee aan te geven dat het echt een pure Kinect-game is geworden. Nu Kinect Sports vandaag al gratis content heeft gekregen, zal Kinect Joy Ride op 4 januari het jaar goed openen door eveneens met gratis content te komen. In het geval van Joy Ride gaat het om een Chevrolet Car Pack met daarin drie nieuwe wagens.
