Iron Fist is een Marvel Netflix exclusive serie die samen met onder andere Luke Cage, Daredevil en Jessica Jones The Defenders vormen. Seizoen 1 is heel erg slecht ontvangen en zou een tweede seizoen overbodig zijn. Maar door The Defenders is Netflix nu wel gedwongen om een tweede seizoen uit te brengen en deze komt er ook aan. It was announced today at San Diego Comic-Con that Marvel's Iron Fist has been renewed for a second season. The freshman drama, which is the fourth and most-recent Marvel series on Netflix, got off to a bumpy start when it launched back in March, where it was met with mixed reviews from both viewers and critics.

The series follows presumed-dead billionaire Danny Rand, who survived a plane crash only to mysteriously return to New York fifteen years later in order to connect with his past. Only now, his body is a living weapon with a mastery of kung fu and the ability to summon a power known as the Iron Fist. When a long-destined enemy emerges, Rand must choose between reclaiming his family's legacy and his duty to fight the criminal element as the Iron Fist.

Look for Season 2 of Iron Fist in 2018. In the meantime, the character Iron Fist will be teaming up with Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage next month in Marvel's The Defenders.
