Je hebt natuurlijk legendarische film villains als The Joker, Freddy Krueger, Joe Pesci in Goodfellas etc etc. Maar er zijn er ook nog een aantal die niet echt bekend zijn bij het grote publiek en eigenlijk wat meer aandacht verdienen. Daarom heeft de website Mania.com deze top tien gemaakt, daar staat op negende plaats Dr. Decker (David Cronenberg) uit Nightbreed (1990). Een Clive Barker film die echt heel bruut is, en als je deze nog niet kent een echte aanrader.

9. Dr. Decker (David Cronenberg), Nightbreed

Before Hannibal Lecter showed us why psychiatrists should never be trusted, Clive Barker envisioned another devilish head shrinker in Dr. Philip Decker. As played by noted director David Cronenberg, Decker analyzes his patients with detached coldness. Then in his off hours, he dons a scarecrow mask and butchers complacent suburbanites like hogs. Nightbreed features an entire race of inhuman monsters, but the very human Decker overshadows them all; it's not their faces that haunt our dreams, but his terrible voice chanting "filth making filth making filth..."
