Enkele weken geleden werd er bekend gemaakt dat de zombie survival comic The Walking Dead een TV pilot zou gaan krijgen, maar vandaag is het nieuws naar buiten gekomen dat deze zeker zes afleveringen zal gaan krijgen. AMC has greenlit six episodes of their adaptation of Robert Kirkman's zombie comic The Walking Dead, so at least we'll be getting that much before the suits wash their hands of it for "not getting it."

Frank Darabont will be writing and directing the pilot, but there's no word on whether he'll be involved with any of the other episodes apart from being executive producer. The show will premiere during AMC's horror marathon Fearfest in late October.
