De legendarische Alfred Hitchcock had er een handje van om altijd even in één van zijn films even in beeld te komen. Maar hij is niet de enige regisseur die een cameo maakte in zijn films, want ook andere grootheden hebben dit gedaan. Nu gaan we natuurlijk niet deze lijst verklappen, maar onze favoriet was:

9. Wes Craven - New Nightmare (1994)

Many fans of the original Nightmare on Elm Street were horrified at the subsequent sequels but unfortunately not in the good way. Many decried Freddy had become increasingly jokey, and lacked his original menace. When Wes Craven decided to direct and also write, New Nightmare an audible scream delight swept through the purist's corner of the horror genre.

Speaking of cameos, Craven flirted with the idea of asking Johnny Depp to make a walk on in the film, (Depp's first onscreen appearance was in the original Nightmare), but the shock maven sheepishly decided against it. Depp later said he would have loved the opportunity.
