De officiële trailer van The Dark Knight Rises heeft een aantal verborgen easter eggs, zo heeft één van de American Football spelers is Hines Ward van the Pittsburgh Steelers. Dit schijnt een verwijzing te zijn naar Burt Ward, die in de jaren 60 versie Robin speelde. Maar de verwijzingen naar Robin houden niet op want zoals je op de onderstaande screenshot kan zien is het logo van The Boy Wonder heel even in beeld te zien. Volgens de regisseur Chris Nolan is dit toeval door een figurant gedaan die fan van de Robin is. Hoe dan ook erg bizar, en wie weet wat we nog over het hoofd zien.

The day this scene was shot, there were 10,000 extras there at Heinz Field. Most of them brought their own props and costumes, so clearly one guy has been smart and, when drawing the 'R' for the 'Rogues' signs (for the Rogues are Gotham's team), he's drawn it in the style of a Robin logo, off his own back. So this is no more a 'clue' that Robin will be in the film than the presence of the Batman logo on a door during Following was a 'clue' that Nolan would one day make a Batman movie.
