Het is weer echt een Tarantino juweeltje.
De manier van filmen, het verhaal en de muziek, allemaal top. Deze film krijgt van mij een 10/10.

Inglorious Bastards is an Italian war film from the 1970s which garnered many fans when shown on American TV, one of which was Quentin Tarantino, the master director of such classics as Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction and many others.
So Tarantino, being the reference sponge that he is, took the idea of the original Italian film, and decided to make his own version. He’s clever like that. The only problem is he’s been working on it for what seems like forever, having been writing it for at least 6 years.
But now it looks like the project may finally be getting there, as Tarantino tells Enzo Castellari, the director of the original in an interview for the new DVD release of the film. AICN have watched the interview, and reported that it reveals some details on Tarantino’s remake.
For starters it seems he has been writing and working on the script for all of those six years, so I’m expecting a masterpiece when it finally gets released. The film has also grown in that time to be much more than just a remake, and it looks likely that the material will be split in to two films in a Kill Bill style.
Despite the various rumours over the years of actors being lined up for roles in the movie, Tarantino also revealed that he’s been writing the parts with no-one specific in mind, which is a first for the legendary director. This is to allow the characters to develop on their own and for actors to be found to fit in to the roles.
Let’s just hope that this isn’t yet another false dawn on what is becoming one of those never-ending stories of films which never actually get made. Having never seen the original but hearing a lot about it, I want to see what Tarantino can do with the premise.
In het door Duitsers bezette Frankrijk is Shosanna Dreyfus getuige van de brute moord op haar familie, onder leiding van nazi-kolonel Hans Landa. Ze weet maar net te ontsnappen en vlucht naar Parijs, waar ze een nieuwe identiteit aanneemt en een filmtheater gaat runnen. Ondertussen, ergens anders in Frankrijk, is een joodse groep soldaten, onder leiding van Lt. Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) bezig met het nemen van wraak op de nazi's. De groep die bij de vijand bekend staat als 'The Basterds', zaait angst door de nazi's op brute wijze te vermoorden. Met de hulp van de Duitse actrice Bridget von Hammersmark ondernemen ze een missie om de leiders van het Derde Rijk uit te schakelen bij een Duitse filmpremière in het filmtheater van Shosanna Dreyfus. Maar ook Shosanna ziet haar kans schoon om wraak te nemen.
