Some details have been clarified in regards to a rumor suggesting that a major third-party exclusive game is coming to the Xbox One. According to a report from World's Factory on May 30, Ahsan Rasheed lowered some of the expectations from the deal by confirming that the project in not the tentatively-titled "Mass Effect 4," "Red Dead Redemption 2" or "Resident Evil 7." He also hinted that the video game recently disappeared from the spotlight.

He would go on to compared the third-party exclusive game to "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction" in terms of importance. The stealth-based action game came out first as a console exclusive for the Xbox 360 before being released on the PC and other computer platforms. The follow-up title, "Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Blacklist," was made available for the PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360.

Furthermore, another insider also hinted that the exclusive deal may be timed, meaning that the third-party game could end up on other consoles in the future. The same individual also teased that 2015 is going to be a great year, suggesting that the lineup for the rest of this year may not be impressive. Both next-generation consoles got plagued by delays recently due to the postponements of "Quantum Break" and "The Order 1886." The former title won't be coming to the Xbox One until next year while the latter has a new release date window of Feb. in 2015.

"Mass Effect 4" has been confirmed to be in development with a potential reveal expected at E3 2014. Capcom is also rumored to be announcing "Resident Evil 7" during the same convention. Finally, Take--Two Interactive recently confirmed that they would like to release more games for the "Red Dead Redemption" franchise. The parent company of Rockstar Games also announced plans to release a next-generation title before the end of next March.
