Vandaag werd bekend dat niemand minder dan Gina Carano (ex MMA vechtster die tegenwoordig ass kickt in films) is gecast voor de rol van Angel Dust in de Deadpool film. Voor het grote publiek zal dit weinig betekenis hebben, maar wij comic nerds weten natuurlijk dat deze de leider is van de Morlocks, een groep mutanten wiens verhaal in de Uncanny X-Men te lezen was. Ook is bekend dat T.J. Miller uit Silicon Valley en Transformers: Age of Extinction als comic relief in de film te zien zal zijn.

In Deadpool, Carano will play a character called Angel Dust, who in the comics was part of the underground mutant group known as the Morlocks. Since Deadpool takes place in the X-Men universe, THR also confirms another familiar character will also be appearing: Colossus. The Russian mutant is slated to play a role in the story's proceedings, but the specifics are being kept under wraps.
