It is Marvel Studios' third billion-dollar film, alongside Marvel's The Avengers and Iron Man 3, and the eighth Disney release to surpass this threshold. As early as today, Avengers: Age of Ultron will become the highest-grossing film of 2015 domestically, and it is already the second-biggest movie of the year internationally and globally.
